eretria: a cup of Assam (Rodney tired tears)

I'm sorry, but my brain may have just exploded.

(No hug for John or Rodney? Not ONE?! From ANYONE? After they've been assumed dead?)

John and the hilarious little ragdoll moment when the Wraith put him back on his feet - priceless. The knives - priceless.
Sleepy John catching a clue about the girl - pretty, hot and so very, very well acted. Oh, Flanigan.
Whoever was in charge of lighting and shooting that scene with the traitorous girl (the snuggling for warmth and milking him for information) should receive an award for making fangirls happy: Eyes, stubble, lips. Lips! God, that mouth is too damn distracting.

Also, amusement much - John is such a Sci-Fi geek.

Upon watching it the second time (and taking into account "Lost Boys"), he quotes StarWars ("R2, I need you to turn off the auto-pilot now"), Firefly - more or less ("You gotta have a window on this boat") and Men in Black ("I've got to get me one of these" when speaking of Ronon's gun).
That amuses me to no end. I always would have expected Rodney to be the Sci-Fi freak here.
Next thing you know, John will quote the Ferengi rules for trading on the next unsuspecting race.

Also, he must have read Steven King's It and must have been as traumatised by it as I was, because: Clowns! (Is it bad that I imagine the Wraith now planning a strategy including armies of Clowns? Maybe they'll wear clown-masks next time we see them.)
Uhm, go ahead, ignore me there for a moment. Pretend I'm usually intelligent enough to not be amused by that kind of thing.

But back to the episode:

Zelenka's appearance was a bit gratuitous, hm? Nice to have him, but huh?

And Rodney. Oh, god, Rodney. Elizabeth's callousness in that situation pissed.me.off. Rodney might die, but hey, let's quip with Carson there. Thank god the Elizabeth of canon and the one from Auburn's and my story diverge greatly, or I'd really be having problems finishing that story right about now.

Surprising moment of joy, though - I like Carson again. He was sinking so low on my likeable character scale during the last episodes, but this? Totally vindicated my Carson-love.

Oh, Hewlett. Just when I thought the admiration couldn't possibly get any bigger.
Rodney. Rodney.
(Even though the withdrawal was cut a bit short - but what there was, was beyond fantastic. And does Carson's little comment in having an inkling suggest that he had a drug-problem, too, once? Meds or alcohol?)

But, still, Rodney.

Back to the exploded brain there.

Ford so isn't dead, by the way.
