eretriaOkay, let me start with the thing I hated, and then let's go to the parts which I adored.
The one thing? Dean giving up on Cas. That was just so, so, SO out of the fucking character. It filled me with an insane amount of rage toward Dean and I need a fucking FIX IT FIC that explains his motivations. Cas is family and Dean never gives up on family. Why the hell did he give up on Cas?
When he didn't accept Cas' apology, I loudly stated "you bastard" at the screen. So very disgusted with Dean at that moment, almost as badly when he told Death to kill Cas. After all Cas has done for you, dude, seriously? SERIOUSLY?!
Now, the rest:
Dean came to in the end. Thank god.
Death. DEATH. God, I love the guy.
MISHA FUCKING COLLINS. He OWNED this episode. Also, CAS ISN'T DEAD. I was so afraid he'd be gone for good, and that they'd kill him, but I think he's still kicking inside that Leviathan, and that at some point in this season, Dean is going to see him again.
Despite the carnage, the idea of Cas smiting hypocrits and the message this is sending to all the fanatic groups of haters. Kudos to the show's writers and producers.
Cas coming back and apologising. Wanting so much to make amends with Dean.
Bobby and Sam believing from the get-go that Cas could and should be saved.

Crowley! Does that mean he's back to being king of hell under normal conditions now?
Dean being shocked that Cas may have actually died. I didn't take the "Cas, you child." as demeaning, he was just honestly relieved, and this is what came out. I'm down with that. And I also have hopes that, with Cas apologising, with Cas coming to them for help, with Cas stating that he's ashamed and trying to make amends ("to you", he said, not to everyone, to you, ARE YOU LISTENING TO THIS; DEAN?), with Cas trying to get them out of the path of danger (ONCE AGAIN; BY THE WAY; DEAN), Dean will come around and find a way to save Cas. Because, nu-uh, Cas isn' dead, no matter what Leviathan!Misha says. (By the way, how cool was that?)
To sum the whole episode up: OH; CAS.
