Rodney's "First, we need to get off."
And the subsequent exchange of looks.
And the addition of: "First we need to get off (the planet) and then you can be under me."
I.
Uhm.
I may or may not have screamed. I LOVE this show.
And the snarking and the John and Rodney show all the way and the knee-swatting and, and, and ...
Let's just shoot that blonde being there, right? She does nothing but run behind Rodney like a pathetic puppy, has scientific sentences like "the lights began to blink but I didn't know what they did" and is generally just a very good decoy for John and Rodney trying to get at each other.
Seriously, take her out of the equation and they're trying to out-seduce each other. It's like an advanced stage of foreplay.
It's all projected! Their love is so pure! (It seems I was finally completely corrupted)
And still not over Trinity, hm? Good one.
And, just generally, without the slashy connotation: John knows Rodney so well, it's almost frightening. And very, very lovely.
Also? The science probably will hurt my brain again so I'm not even thinking about it, but the effects? Were very pretty this week.
Also, Ronon, with kids. And sweaty. And weak. And, then, then laughing. I want to see Ronon laugh more, now. He's got a gorgeous smile/laugh.
And, uhm - John must have experienced almost orgasmic joy upon seeing that ship for the first time. And he got to be the captain!
eta: Speculating on the title of the season finale ("Allies"), and on the fact that it's only one hive-ship coming toward Atlantis: Supposed Wraith defectors, anyone? They have realised that they don't have a lot of chances in beating them with weapons, so they're coming to supposedly work with the Atlanteans now, maybe they're evn asking them to receive the retrovirus to turn them human, only to - of course - stab everyone in the back in the end? I mean, with all the in-fighting between the Wraith, it could make sense. Certainly, the way she's been acting lately, Elizabeth could be crazy (or naive) enough to fall for it.

And, then, then laughing. Such a nice laugh! It made me happy.

Date: 2006-01-24 07:46 pm (UTC)I may or may not have done it several times. And that's not counting the few 'omg, Rodney's.
SGA, you bring us SO MUCH joy! ♥

Date: 2006-01-25 04:32 am (UTC)1. Hee hee hee! The McShep is irresistible...
2. Actually, the blonde was very helpful: the weekly bimbos seem to be great revelators of the underlying slash.
Sheppard trying clumsily to seduce her away from McKay was hilarious and oh so obvious. And childish and jealous work too...
You can very nearly hear his thoughts: "Stay away from the genius cum hot scientist, blondie! He's mine, all mine!"
:)
I don't think I am imagining this, because everyone else seems to have heard the extra dialog with no difficulty

Date: 2006-01-25 11:07 am (UTC)Though, I'd by far prefer an episode in which it's the other way around. Sheppard seduced. If done right, this could be incredibly hot. Especially when JF's incredibly sexy streak comes out to play, too. :o)

Date: 2006-01-25 09:55 pm (UTC)It wouldn't even be groundbreaking TV. Seriously. Homicide: Life on the Street did it fantastically! Tim Bayliss was arguably the heart of the show, the rookie who arrived when the show premiered and was there through the whole run. And he decided to experiment when a very nice gay man expressed interest in him and had a relationship with that character over several episodes. It was an incredible story arc.
If SGA ever had the cojones to do a story arc in which Sheppard was seduced by some alien guy and really touched on the other characters' reactions to that and him?
I would expire of delight.
JF could do it, too. Make it believable. Because it wouldn't be emoting all over, it would all be tight, scared control and flippant remarks hiding his emotions. Except with Rodney or Teyla ...
*sees the plot bunny coalescing, twitches, and runs*
Can't say anything about your speculations about the Wraith, because I'm sort of spoiled: I think I know something, but what I read might not be accurate.

Date: 2006-01-25 10:11 pm (UTC)Wouldn't that kind of sort of fit into what we talked about yesterday?
Also, yes. JF could do it. DH could do it. Damn it, I bet even JM and KS could do it. Just ... LET THEM, damn it.
Kat had this nice theory, by the way, that the actors have caught on, and had done so ages ago. They know and deliberately act the way they do, just the producers are too obtuse to notice what they're doing. :o)
And you had better not spoil me. That one picture was already too much (wasn't your fault, I know). I want to be able to scream next week.
