Still quite giddy over calling it, though.
But more worried about Rodney. Though, really. They're not going to kill him, right? It'll be John to the recue and they're going to destroy the Hive ships before they can distribute the intel about the planets and fly out of there and then they'll all have a team!cuddle because someone needs to stop Rodney from shaking so badly.
And, of course, as soon as Ronon is gone (because m/m/m really doesn't work for me, despite the odd vibes Rodney and Ronon had in this episode), Rodney and John will ... well. Let hundreds of fics tell you the story. I don't need to go into further detail, I think.

In the meantime, Elizabeth is back on Atlantis, getting the good news from Caldwell, thinking she has lost Earth AND John, Rodney and Ronon and it's her fault, because in the end, she was the one who decided to let the Wraith become allies. Yowza. I'm waiting for the fic.

There will be some fantastically apocalyptic fic after this season finale. I can't wait.
(And the monster will fit that slot quite nicely, I think. If we ever manage to get through the beta. But then again, putting four people through 300 pages takes time, which was to be expected, and I do pity our poor betas and admire them endlessly for their hard, hard, smart work.
Implementing all the changes will be taking time, too. But ... one day. Hopefully in February.)

Seriously, I was saying "Holy fuck!" a lot during the ep too.

Holy cow. It just doesn't make sense. We get drivel like The Tower and then we get these last few eps! Well, I haven't seen Inferno yet, but still. Holy cow. I actually really like what they're doing with the show...how it's becoming so grey with dark edges. Elizabeth certainly isn't a leader that keeps her hands clean anymore (if she ever was) and the ramifications on her character will be intriguing (even if the writers never show us any of it directly).

Gah. Rodney! Ronon! John! When's Season 3 start?

No, no, don't worry: Sheppard will save him. Probably when McKay is let out of his hibernating cocoon to adapt the Wraight hyperspace engines to galactic level.

Personally, I was surprised at how slashy the ending of S2 is: Sheppard refusing to return to the Daedalus and ending up so close to the hiveship that his plane was actually within the hiveship's hyperspace field and transported off with McKay and Ronon?

thus being in an ideal situation to rescue McKay himself in S3! How romantic... TPTB are getting very, very slashy indeed.
