After being nicely patted on the back and encouraged, here are two podfics:

Acknowledgement
Rating: general
Spoilers: Siege III
Characters: Elizabeth Weir, Radek Zelenka
Genre: Character study
Summary: On her way to the mess-hall, she passes Zelenka leaning against a wall, asleep on his feet. (Siege III aftermath)

Vapor
Rating: semi-mature
Spoilers: vague season two references
Characters: Rodney McKay, John Sheppard
Genre: slash, UST
Pairings: McKay/Sheppard
Summary: "Sheppard feels stripped bare under McKay’s gaze, naked and horribly vulnerable." -- Heat, a steam hut and UST

Just a small thing: If anything sounds slightly off, it's because I'm not a native speaker. Do excuse small glitches.

I can't believe I'm doing this. I really can't. *panics*

They are so cool.

Stop panicking, because they sound really good. You read very well, and you story-tell extremely well too. I really like how you did Vapor.

(I changed my mind and thought to comment)

Thank you. Writing is one thing, but reading out loud seems even more direct, more intimate, if that makes any sense. And you never know if people will laugh their bums off about your accent.
But story-telling remains story-telling, and it's something I love doing, and writing and in speech. So, I'm really glad to hear it worked for you.

It makes sense. All the listener has to picture the story with is your voice, and the images your voice builds whilst reading. In some ways it is direct contact with the other person; you control the inflections and interpretation. Plus, it is of course your own voice.

Pfft, your accent isn't funny at all. Cool? Yes. Funny... not so much.

Whee, snagging both, but I'm especially looking forward to listening to Vapor.

I'm downloading Vapor, and very excited about listening to it! Audiofic is perfect for long stints in the dark room or while shelving at the library.

The dark room? Do excuse me while my mind goes to strange, strange places. ;o)

I hope you'll enjoy (really, really hope)this version of the story.

Photography dark room. I'm in a photo class and final critiques are coming up, so I'll be spending a lot of time making prints in the dark room this week.

I really liked the audiofic, btw. Your voice has a very soothing quality that, with the accent (I'm from the States), reminds me of the nature documentaries I used to watch as a kid, only a little more otherworldly. The bit of music at the beginning set an eerie, alien mood really well.

I really love your voice! ^_^ Thank you for posting these.

The glitchy/pops mights be eliminated a bit if you either put the mic farther away or off to the side, which is what I ended up doing with mine.

These are wonderful. Your accent is lovely and I really liked your inflection while doing dialogue.

Thanks for sharing!
