Theoretically speaking, does the world need another SGA ficathon?

Because ... I have ideas, here. Specifically centering on touch and with a subcategory of touch deprivation. Because, heck, there has to be a lot of that going on in the city. And it could include everything from gen to slash to het to poly.
All those touches no one sees. Miles and miles of skin. Or the small, platonic ones. It could get very interesting.
I'm just not sure if it's actually worth giving it a shot.

Is it?

That...could be interesting.

At first glance, it seems like too limited a topic for a ficathon; but after thinking about it, you could get a lot of mileage from this one. (I've got several ideas already.)I think it'd be worth it.

Besides, the world always needs another SGA ficathon!

I think it is interesting. I remember reading a few stories that deal with this same sort of topic, and I thought they were fascinating. I'd love to see more of them.

Like volari mentioned, I do have to wonder if the topic is a little too narrow for a ficathon. It would be a great sga_flashfic challenge, but a)I know you don't run that and b) flashfic is predominantly McKay/Sheppard and slash. So maybe a ficathon would encourage non-slasher & non McKay/Sheppard slashers to participate. I'm not a writer, though, so it's hard for me to judge.

As a reader, though, I don't think there can ever be *too many* ficathons.

Well I think it's safe to say that I owe you one for participating in my ficathon. *g*

If you're not interested in actually hosting it though...you could always suggest it to flashfic or to atlantis_lvw...I think they're always looking for ideas. I think it could be pretty cool :)

Fandom could cope, but then again I was just about to ask you to keep explaining it because it sounded so .... luxurious. *eyes glaze* Also, not a writer so really, erm. I am just commenting to have an excuse to read the description again.

:)

Don't you dare! Not that it isn't sensuous and intriguing concept, but just no, no more ficathons for a bit, hmn?

No bar story for you if you do, missy.

Actually, there may be no bar story anyway. I'm sick of back to Earth stuff. But once I watch Pegasus Project again, I may figure a way to transfigure it to the time period when SG-1 is on Atlantis.

It could possibly be a tavern story. I mean if SG-1 could borrow Rodney, I don't see why Atlantis couldn't borrow Sam for a mission, right?

OMG and Vala!

No, it doesn't have to be on Earth. But you will write it because otherwise I will cry. And possible not send you seasons 8 and 9, because I am just that vindictive. Yes.

Sam AND Vala. Oh, blimey, Rodney wouldn't know what truck hit him with John turning on the charm full-front. The ... ending of the bar-scene would have to be the one we talked about.
Speaking of Vala ... pay attention to her in the background around minute 8.17 in Pegasus Project. [livejournal.com profile] diluvian noticed it, it's only a couple of seconds long, but it's just the cutest thing ever.

Vala is the cutest thing ever and I cry that she isn't on SGA instead of stodgy old SG-1. Damn it, she'd fit right in with the rest of the geeks, dorks, misfits and orphan aliens. Plus, I really think the Atlantis people could do with a good thief.
