out of curiosity
Jul. 31st, 2006 05:05 pmTheoretically speaking, does the world need another SGA ficathon?
Because ... I have ideas, here. Specifically centering on touch and with a subcategory of touch deprivation. Because, heck, there has to be a lot of that going on in the city. And it could include everything from gen to slash to het to poly.
All those touches no one sees. Miles and miles of skin. Or the small, platonic ones. It could get very interesting.
I'm just not sure if it's actually worth giving it a shot.
Is it?

Besides, the world always needs another SGA ficathon!

Date: 2006-07-31 06:36 pm (UTC)Like volari mentioned, I do have to wonder if the topic is a little too narrow for a ficathon. It would be a great sga_flashfic challenge, but a)I know you don't run that and b) flashfic is predominantly McKay/Sheppard and slash. So maybe a ficathon would encourage non-slasher & non McKay/Sheppard slashers to participate. I'm not a writer, though, so it's hard for me to judge.
As a reader, though, I don't think there can ever be *too many* ficathons.

Date: 2006-08-01 03:24 am (UTC)No bar story for you if you do, missy.
Actually, there may be no bar story anyway. I'm sick of back to Earth stuff. But once I watch Pegasus Project again, I may figure a way to transfigure it to the time period when SG-1 is on Atlantis.
It could possibly be a tavern story. I mean if SG-1 could borrow Rodney, I don't see why Atlantis couldn't borrow Sam for a mission, right?
OMG and Vala!

Speaking of Vala ... pay attention to her in the background around minute 8.17 in Pegasus Project.
