So. Twenty years today.
Oct. 3rd, 2010 09:10 pmAs of this day, my country has been reunited for twenty years.
I could say grand things. Write a long post about the ups and downs of the reunification process, and how it isn't perfect, nor will it ever be.
But I won't.
All I'll say is that: I'm glad I'm here, in a united Germany, in a country I can call home. A country without borders. A country that, from its Eastern part, managed the miraculous feat of a peaceful revolution and from its Western part welcomed the change. A country which came out stronger than it was before - because two halves made a whole.
