So, who wants to bet that "the boss" the Leviathans are talking about is Cas? Because, well, yes, he had swallowed a couple of them and that made his vessel melt (oh, poor Jimmy), but I firmly believe one has stayed inside, the most powerful one, and that's the reason we only get a trenchcoat in the lake, not a body. (Also, it was a fashion statement. Next time we see Leviathan!Cas, he'll have change of wardrobe. Just wait for it!) Because, well, the other Leviathans left bodies behind when they switched, right? So, Cas is still there, being the big boss, and at the end of the season, Dean and Cas together will kick the big bad out.

Hands up who wants to bet that Dean kept the trenchcoat and maybe sleeps with it at night, bunched up near his pillow, imagining Cas' smell?

So, the Leviathans have a hierarchie. Nice. Also, they're pretty cool, if, for old beings, almost a little naive. The little girl/doctor Leviathan had something of an eager puppy vibe going, which I found interesting. It'll be cool to see where that goes.

Sherriff Mills was too damn cool.

Bobby made me love him over and over again, particularly his speech to Dean that he'd be right there, waiting if Dean decided to let go. Also, nice acknowledgement of Cas there as "the best friend Dean has ever had". If we can't get a slash mention, and, come on, who actually expects it outside of HBO, this is the closest thing, and, hey, I'm easy, I bite.
Also, nice shout-out to Dean not being all right in the least, and a way of interpreting his, in part, odd reactions in 7.01

Sam's hallucinations. I love mind-games, love them so much and this has been done expertly.

Bobby's house! Oh, God, all the history, all the BOOKS. I wonder if Bobby is going to rebuild or relocate. Maybe him and the cool Sherriff can be room-mates for a while.

Also, Bobby? Ain't dead. But Dean's phone-call at the end of the episode was heartbreaking, showing that losing Bobby would be the one thing that would send him over the egde.

So, in summary? Last season I was very meh at the beginning, but this is really getting good and I find myself utterly excited for the next episodes. How cool!

Heh, I'd welcome a change. That trenchcoat was getting awfully overdone. And I'm sure the vidders will be happy to get new material. ;)
